Gateway

APIs (routes)

Console → Gateway: each API is a path on the gateway and a list of targets. Changes are live as soon as you save; a change that would break the configuration is refused and nothing changes.

prefix
The public path, for example /eth. Everything after it is passed to the target.
targets
A provider (its keys are used) or a URL; several targets are tried in order, or taken in turns / by weight.
retry
Which statuses move on to the next key or target (for example 429, 502, 503). POST is retried only when marked safe to retry.
timeout
How long one attempt may take.
health
A target that keeps failing is skipped for a while; with a probe path it is checked in the background and comes back by itself.

Calling it

Hosted: under /h/ on the Pikeway gateway, with your Pikeway key. Self-hosted: at your gateway's address with a key from the console.

bash
curl https://gw.pikeway.ai/h/eth/ \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $PIKEWAY_KEY" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"eth_blockNumber","params":[]}'

Export YAML downloads the whole configuration (keys as hashes only) for backups or Git; the self-hosted gateway can run it directly.
