Free mock responses
Swap /gw/ for /mock/ and get the endpoint's example response instantly: no key, no charge, and the provider is never called. Build and test your agent before you fund it.
ANYhttps://gw.pikeway.ai/mock/<slug>/<path>
Try it
Take any gateway URL
Mock URLs mirror live ones exactly: same API slug, path, method, query and body. Only the prefix changes.
Replace /gw/ with /mock/
bash
# Live (needs a key, charged on success) curl "https://gw.pikeway.ai/gw/dexscreener/latest/dex/search?q=WBTC" -H "Authorization: Bearer $PIKEWAY_KEY" # Mock (no key, free, upstream never called) curl -i "https://gw.pikeway.ai/mock/dexscreener/latest/dex/search?q=WBTC" # X-Pikeway-Mock: true # X-Pikeway-Cost: 0
Switch to live
When the parsing and flow work, change the prefix back to /gw/ and add your key. See Keys, balance & billing.
What you get back
The gateway matches your method and path to an endpoint and returns its documented 2xx example as JSON: the provider's published example, or one captured from the first successful live call if the provider turned on automatic examples, or a sample generated from the response schema.
Response headers
X-Pikeway-MocktrueMarks the response as example data, so your code can tell it apart from live data.
X-Pikeway-Cost0Mocks are always free.
Mock data is static. Query parameters and request bodies don't change it, so don't make decisions from it; it's for wiring up parsing and control flow.
Limits
- 30 requests per minute per IP; beyond that you get
429. - An endpoint without any example yet returns
404with an explanation. Examples appear once the provider publishes one or after the first successful live call (if auto examples are on). - Private APIs have no mock. AI models and WebSocket streams aren't mocked.
